Stanley Donwood / Thom Yorke

I ordered some prints by Stanley Donwood. THEY...ARE...GORGEOUS. The famous Radiohead "Hail to the Thief" cover in its original form is a 9-color silkscreen print. And the Thom Yorke cover is straight from the linolium. I had to frame these and hung them in my house. One of my favorite artists who does work with some of my favorite musicians. Totally worth it.

Goes Gold!

2006 was an amazing year for me. So many blessings...too many to count. But the year couldn't have ended any better. Working with Fulltank, I executed a logo treatment and branding for MTV's New Year's Eve special held in Times Square. The logo was all over the place! One million people were at the event in the streets and it was seriously a giant honor and blessing for me to work on this project. Thanks so much to Ben, Chris and everyone at Fulltank and MTV. I pray that 2007 will be filled with many blessings...not for myself, but for all.

These are just screen shots. On the main site, I will have the logo in its raw form as well as monitor loops. Hopefully some actual footage from the broadcast. Check for that this week. THANKS!

Thank you so much for an amazing year!

New Radiohead Songs!

Is anyone else as excited as I am?! On the internet show "From the Basement", Thom Yorke debuted some new Radiohead songs solo on piano. My gosh...I can't wait! Go check him out on iTunes.

P.S. Victoria Trujillo is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. And I love her with all of my heart. And she loves me. She is a blessing that I thank God for every single day.

NEW MUSIC!

Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond) released a record back in August. Just heard about it. Got it on iTunes. It is absolutely gorgeous. One of my favorite releases of the year! If you liked Denali and love a haunting voice and an equally haunting production, pick up her newest record "Bring Me The Workhorse". Amazing stuff. Very somber and relaxing. Great great great album.

The man who needs no introduction, Sufjan Stevens, has just released a 5-disc box set of previously recorded Christmas songs, both original and traditional. He has done it again. Comes complete with stickers and a song book with lyrics and chords typed out to play the songs yourself.

New Jay-Z's alright.

New U2 singles collection is great!

bye!

Kramer? Really?

So, I know no one missed Michael Richards' behavior over the weekend. Wow. His apology seemed genuine. Just a mistake caught in the spotlight. BIG MISTAKE. No excuse. I'm sure he knows there was no excuse. Don't know where people get off sometimes.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE!

Hey Guys!

Long time no see! I've been up to alot lately. Gonna have a MASSIVE update soon. Lots of new work. Lots of exciting stuff going on here. I will be announcing something very big, very soon. Keep your ears peeled!

On a different note, saw some great movies over the last week. First, the new James Bond - MAN! Loved it! He is less charming and more tough. Great movie. And the cars...my gosh the cars!

Saw the Prestige. Honestly, one of the best movies I have seen in a LONG time. There was a twist, but it was not a predictable one. Great work. Christian Bale is great in it!

Talk to you again soon.

Jamie Lidell!

Hey guys. Haven't updated my blog in a while. Got some big stuff brewing that I'm dying to tell you guys...when the timing is right :). Anyhow, went and saw Jamie Lidell last night at the Metro in Chicago. Wow.

He basically did accapella remixes of his own songs that lasted about 10 minutes. The guy's voice is flawless and so soulful. Crazy Brit livin' in Berlin! Such a talented guy. Go check out "Multiply" on iTunes if you haven't already.

THANK YOU BONO!

So, I'm not the first to talk about this but I'm pretty sure its about the most commendable thing I've heard in a long time.

Companies like Apple, Converse, The Gap and Armani are helping the AIDS problem in Africa by donating a portion of procedes to the dilemma in Africa.

BIG NEWS!

Got something big brewing guys. STAY TUNED!!!

New Music.

Some new stuff came out this week that is pretty noteworthy.

First off, the new These Arms Are Snakes record - great stuff. I think its their darkest and most dynamic record to date. Definitely their best release. Chris Common (drums) recorded the whole thing and his engineering and mixing abilities are great. I love when bands are self sufficient. Artwork kind of ruins it for me though. Not my favorite thing in the world. Its a pretty dark record and the record is everything but that. Good record though. "Subtle Body" is a noteworthy track for sure. Check it out on iTunes.

Secondly, the new and best Blood Brothers record yet, "Young Machetes", is out. My gosh, great record. Guy Picciotto (Blonde Redhead, etc) of Fugazi co-produced and that really shines through on the release. So much dynamic. Amazing artwork. Just go pick it up. Its their most mature release yet.

Lost...umm what?

Watched the LOST season premiere last night. Umm...what is going on!? I have seen the first two seasons and I love the show...understand all the details, but even I am LOST (hahaha). The polar bear cages, shark tanks...WHAT! I know about the polar bears and I know about the shark with the Dharma tattoo...but still...WHAT?!?!?! It is probably my favorite show on television - other than The Office. I really can't wait till next week's episode.

Gotta find out whats going on with the Others and everything...it's pretty wild. Seeing the plane crash in the beginning. Wow. If I saw something like that, I would be scarred! I wonder whats going to happen in the next two weeks according to the "leader" of The Others. He told Kate that they would be unpleasant. Wonder what that means.

Also, tonight...The Office - HILARIOUS! Dwight turns on Michael! Michael outsmarts Dwight! Makes him wear a sign that says liar! haha. And I don't think Jim cares about Pam anymore and I think a new girl likes Jim! Check 'em all out on iTunes.
